Auburn – Longtime Covington City Council Member and retired educator Marlla Mhoon has endorsed Dr. Shannon Hader for Congress in Washington’s 8th Congressional District.
“I have had the chance to get to know Shannon through community events, 47th LD endorsement processes, and one-on-one,” said Mhoon. “I’m convinced she is absolutely the candidate to beat Dino Rossi and to serve us best in D.C. starting Day 1. Her track record of delivering results is unmatched, her Health Policy Fellowship gave her in-depth exposures and connections to getting things done with politicians and policy processes on the Hill. Her leadership and willingness to stand up for what’s right, broker a way forward, is exactly what we need to hold this Trump Administration accountable.”
Mhoon has served on the Covington City Council since 2005 and retired from teaching in the Tahoma School District after 25 years of service.
“I am full of respect for Marlla’s dedication to and track record of delivery for her community, as an educator, councilwoman, Democratic LD activist, and community leader,” said Dr. Hader. “I’m truly honored by her support—and I know she did her due diligence to check me out! I look forward to partnering with Marlla and other Covington City Councilmembers to deliver for Covington and the people of the 8th!”
